A New Delivery

Today, I took delivery of a five pack of Gurkha Regent Churchchills from one of my favorite sources. cigarbid.com . Another good site is JRCigar These are both great auction sites for cigars that I visit almost every day. It is an excellent place to find cigars that you might otherwise not be able to afford. I won these in an auction for $17.00. Now I have priced these around town and from several other internet sites and typically, they go for around $10.00 a stick. So I guess I would consider $3.40 a stick to be a very good deal for these. I could hardly wait to open them up and light one up. However, as often happens, I had other obligations that had to be taken care of . So after spending time at my son 's school to see a play he was in I came home, grabbed a Gurkha, got the dog and his leash and headed out the door to smoke my cigar. My neighbor joined me with his dog and off we went for about a thirty minute hike. Arriving back at his garage I still had about 3/4 of the cigar left so we settled in and flipped channels between the Tigers game, the Pistons game and the Redwings game. So I took some time to pay attention to some of the attributes of this cigar. It is a 7" hand made with a 48 ring size. It is pressed so as to have a rectangular profile which I find to be very comfortable to smoke. Its starts out a little rough tasting when first lit but soon smooths out to be a creamy delight that Iended up smoking to the nub. I would rank this cigar at the top of my list of high end cigars and will continue to watch for in the future.
